Stupid county let her have this chimp although they knew it was illegal. After all he was cute and the people enjoyed him. An animal can sense when someone is afraid of them. Zanex? Put the poor chimp out of his mind. I would never want a pet that huge and I am sorry, but NASTY. They are made for the wild. Can you imagine cleaning the diaper of something 250 Lbs.? Ulk! Some people are nasty and that is all there is to it. What was she going to do with him if he outlived her? Is this an attention getter? There are lots of pets to have who won’t hurt you or others. I was amazed when she said she would do the same thing all over again! I felt sorry for her until she said that after her friend is disfigured for life! Her life is ruined. She was and is a beautiful person! God bless her and help her to cope and her precious family who will stand behind her forever.

Chimps apparently have more brains than humans. They are wild animals for goodness sakes!
Why would a person want one? I think little baby tigers and lions are adorable. I wanted one growing up as a child as I would see them on tv. Dad said, you can never tame a wild animal. If they seem that they are trained, they are WILD and can always turn on you no matter how adorable they are to us. They are born in the wild and should be left in the wild unless they are in a zoo.
Now this poor womans life is ruined forever because someone just innocently bought a chimp that she apparently didn’t think would get to be stronger than five men! She and her family will suffer forever because of this. She would have been better off if it would have killed her. What a brave and sweet woman and her family is glad she is alive. A wild animal has an instinct to attack at times. It is the only way to express themselves when mad. I feel for both parties. I heard them aske the chimp owner if she would buy him again and do things the same and she said yes, she loved him like a child. Excuse me? You would buy him again and raise him knowing he killed your best friend. Hmmmmmm…….I wouldn’t! Weird! Also there is a picture of the woman owning the chimp leaning over on him looking in his face and him with his tongue out at her MOUTH! Nasty looking and makes one wonder what all he did do?????????????? Not judging, saying they did, but it looked BAD! Please if you own a chimp no matter how much you love it….give it to a zoo and visit it there.

Deepest sorrow goes out to the families. But to say this was deliberate is awful. Was there a acohol level analysis done on the driver. Was this the works of western inteligient agencies much like we have seen in the Congo, Kenya, and Ghana over the course of history? Those outside countries that were funding thie prime ministers bid to over run the elected Government bring about deep seated feelings, not to mentions it should be illegal for that sort of interference would not be tolerated in say… the US.

There is not a cartoon out there someone won’t find offensive. Quite frankly when I saw the cartoon the first person I thought of was Nazi Pelosi, not Obama. It’s a political cartoon.

Did you see King Kong? Did it offend you? Did Peter Jackson use King Kong as symbolism for black people? Is Peter Jackson a racist too? Should we boycott him? Come on!

The cartoon was harmless. Lighten Up. That’s what the first amendment is all about freedom of expression. Some of the people out there whining about this cartoon listen to rap music, yet they find nothing wrong with the redundant use of the word ni@@a. I think it’s degrading. But there is your first amendment again. We still have a first amendment, for now.

I doubt dude even thought about it when he drew the damn thing he does political cartoons. The stumulus bill is a politcal issue. The chimp is a political issue. How many cartoons of Bush as a chimp were there?

I know one thing my kid will not be able to listen to rap crap but will be able to read all the cartoons they want. When I see a monkey I don’t think of black people, my kid won’t either. However in rap I hear the word ni@@a all the time. I know what that is and I don’t want to have to explain it to my kid.
